WORD ASSOCIATION GAME GUIDE
Try the word on both sides.
A tile that fits one clue is only halfway there. Read the rule above the cards, then check whether your choice connects them both.
No download or account required. Saves stay in this browser on this site.
Find the middle word.
In a middle-word puzzle, put your answer after the left clue and before the right clue. Both combinations should make familiar words or expressions. Say each combination to yourself before choosing.
Look for the shared link.
In a shared-link puzzle, both clues point to the same answer. Look for a common meaning, use or association. The rule on the board tells you which kind of connection the current puzzle needs.
Use a nudge when you need it.
Wrong tiles stay marked, letting you rule them out. A little hint gives another direction, and the solved explanation shows why the answer works. There is no timer or retry limit.
Collect understanding.
Journey has eight threads of three links. A first-guess solve without a hint earns three badges; one or two wrong guesses earn two; a hint or more guesses earns one. Only your best result counts. Practice lets you choose any of the twenty-four links without changing journey rewards.
